President Bola Tinubu’s upcoming one-day working visit to Katsina State this Friday marks a significant moment, both symbolically and practically, as it will be his first official visit to the state since taking office in 2023.
According to Dr. Bala Salisu-Zango, the State Commissioner for Information, the President will inaugurate two major projects executed under Governor Dikko Radda’s administration:
- The Eastern Bypass – a key infrastructure project connecting Dutsin-ma Road through Kano and Daura Roads, and terminating at Yandaki in Kaita Local Government Area.
- The State Agricultural Mechanization Centre – aimed at enhancing farming productivity and supporting mechanized agriculture in the region.
Beyond these commissions, the visit carries a deeper significance as it provides a platform for discussions on pressing issues, especially security concerns, which have been a persistent challenge in the North-West region.
Salisu-Zango urged residents to come out en masse to show support and hospitality, emphasizing the need for peace and order during the visit.
